During my Middle School experience I learned things like vocabulary and what different things mean. I had 9 different subjects and in each one I learned different things.
In 21 Century I learned many new quotes and how to put a essay in order using ACES writing, new vocabulary and new technology and apps like cospaces and canva.com along with how to put a video into youtube. In ELA or Reading I learned about the Holocaust, how to use and find onomatopoeia, alliteration and many other things and I read many new books and what they meant. In Math I learned new vocabulary, how to do algebra, and how to find linear problems and find out how the slope in a problem. In Multimedia I learned how to do selective coloring, how to use Photoshop, and how to change things up in imovie. In Health I learned new vocabulary, I learned about nutrition what's good and bad and how there are addictions that can happen to someone, and all of the body's systems like endocrine and digestive. In Science I learned new terms, weather symbols and clouds, and how to solve and create genetics problems. In Social Studies I learned new vocabulary terms, what happened during slavery, and I learned about the magna carta and Jamestown. In Vocal Music or Choir I learned how to sit and breathe while singing, many new songs, and new vocabulary along with musical notes. Last bt certainly not least Cheerleading. I learned how to stay stiff and try to support the players while getting the crowd pumped up, how to learn new cheers quickly, and how to create new cheers like floor cheers and hello cheers. I had learned many things during my Middle School years but these were the top three things that I will definitely remember. These top three things in each class will be used during High School in many different ways. Although I am moving I will definitely remember what I was taught and I will carry it with me to High school. I had many great years. “ A tree is identified by a fruit. If the tree is good, the fruit will be good. If the tree is bad, the fruit will be bad.” This is my favorite quote because people really do get based on how they act.
As said by Matthew 12:33 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come. 33Make a tree good and its fruitwill be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks..." The quote simply means that If you act good, people will see you as a good person. If you act bad then of course people will see you at a bad person. This literally means that the tree should not be judged by its appearance but by the fruit the tree makes. “ A tree is identified by a fruit. If the tree is good, the fruit will be good. If the tree is bad, the fruit will be bad.” This means that we are all judged by how we act. From creating posters I have learned that creativity is hard. I love being able to work and create my own but it is difficult to be able to come up with sayings for your words. The vocabulary words that were assigned to be put on the posters are more memorable.
I honestly don't have anything that I would change. The reason why I would change anything is because I have a good partner and the work is actually really easy to understand. The steps are simple and it's actually pretty fun. This assignment will definitely help me remember terms in the future. Creating these posters gives me a better understanding of these words and how they can be used and what they are used for. This helps me prepare for a test because when the test says these words I will actually know what they are. If a person had committed a crime would you want them wandering around committing more crimes or would you want them to be caught and be put away? Apple should let the FBI hack into iPhones. With the technology that we should have in the future, there should be many more events like this in the future. According to the article writer Randall G. Holcombe, the studies show that this event will happen many more times in the future. “Even though this particular case has been dropped, legal scholars say the issues it revealed are unlikely to go away. Similar cases are sure to arise as federal security agencies lock horns with technology companies in the future.” The textual evidence says that this event will happen many more times in the future. If Apple lets the FBI hack its phone, this event probably won't happen again, and many lives could possibly be saved. If Apple doesn't, then the FBI and Apple will have this same event happen again in the future. These problems are supposed to happen more often in the future. Apple believes the people have a right to their privacy. “Apple phones have features that protect the privacy of the information on them, and the Fourth Amendment guarantees people this right to privacy.” Apple doesn't want to “hand” over their phones because of the fourth amendment. Apple believes that people need their privacy on their phones. They don't want the FBI hacking their phones because they believe people will get mad because they are not getting their privacy. People might start to stop using Apple’s cell phone plan. The FBI needs Apple’s permission to hack their phones, so they can solve more cases. “Instead, the FBI wanted Apple to write new software to unlock Syed Farook's iPhone. Last December, Farook and his wife killed 14 people in a mass shooting in San Bernardino. Because of the privacy features of the iPhone, the FBI could not search Farook's phone for information about the attack without Apple's help. When Apple refused, the FBI sought to force the company to help by taking it to court Apple refused because they wanted to protect their customers privacy.” According to the article writer Whitt Flora, there was a shooting that killed 14 people, and the FBI wanted to hack the killer’s and his wife's phone to see who was all in the murder. Yes I understand the no part on hacking other customers phones, but when there is a murder involved.. You should just hand over the phone. The FBI deserves to have the right to hack Apple’s phone’s. With the technology that we should have in the future, there should be many more events like this that is going to happen. Apple believes the people have a right to their privacy. The FBI needs Apple’s permission to hack their phones so they can solve more cases. Do you love cheer bows? Have you ever wanted to make a cheer bow or even wondered how to make them? Cheer bows are actually kind of easy to make because most supplies that you use are daily households, and they are really don’t cost a lot. Cheer bows have been around a while and they are easy to make.
Hair bows had been around since the 18th century and there are two ways to make them. According to Hair Essentials, the first bow was created in the 18th century and was worn by men and woman. “The first known appearance of the hair bow seems to have been in the 18th Century when they were worn by both men and women. Hair styles among European aristocracy were very elaborate and included decorations such as flowers, bows, and even fruit!” People back in the 18th century started making bows because it showed how wealthy they were. According to The Hair At The Eighteenth Century, the wigs you wore and the bows you wore were based on how wealthy you were. “Men's wigs were generally white, and women's wigs of pastel colors, like pink, light violet or blue. Depending on how wigs were ornamented, they could reveal a person's profession or social status. Wealthier people could cost expensive wig designers and better materials.” Men started out with hair bows, and then women started to wear them. Depending on how wealthy they are, they had different materials, different colors, and many other things. If you wear poor, you would probably be wearing a hand me down bow, or an older bow. If you were wealthy, you would be wearing new bright colored bows, stiff bows, and even a rare texture sometimes. The method I do is fold the ribbon, pinch the middle, glue ribbon and hair clip to back, and then cut the bottom and put glue on it. According to Pinterest, “fold the ribbon, pinch the middle, glue ribbon and hair clip to back, and then cut the bottom and put glue on it”. Another way to make/ create a bow is to “wrap a zip tie around the middle and pull it halfway tight. Leave enough room so you can move the ribbon around to shape the bow.” according to Totally The Bomb. The benefits of being able to make your own hair bows is saving money, and you you can also sell them and make money. Omni cheer is a website that sells cheer bows that they made. They make them at home post them and then they sell. Making cheer bows is really easy and you can make a lot of money because you can start a business like Omni Cheer. I read this book before about a girl who's life was perfect but then she became famous and her life went downhill. She had thought that fame would be great, but she didn’t like it anymore because she was always watched, and couldn't even spend time with her family. She wished she had never became a star. Did you know that most stars crack under pressure? Attention is a great thing to have but do you still want attention when you can't do any movement without being watched or talked about? "All great things in life come to an end." I think both fame and fortune could make me happy. If I became famous I would take most of my money and give it to saint Jude hospitals, I would give it to cancer centers, and even give it to many animal shelters. Fortune can help me find the real me, and I actually have great friends. Yes, fame and fortune can make me happy but there are some disadvantages to both. Some disadvantages are that the happiness from fame disappears quickly. "That kind of happiness fades within no time." With fame I will be constantly watched or followed, and I will be separated from my family which wouldn't work for me. With fortune I won't be able to help other people."Indeed, famous people can't so much as walk their dogs or tie their shoes without being gawked at, photographed, tweeted about, or Instagrammed." According to Reel Rundown some disadvantages are “ 1. Famous people can't do things that the average person can 2. Being famous or a celebrity can attract stalkers 3. A celebrity status can attract too many fake friends 4. People constantly judge celebrities and 5. Celebrities have no privacy.” After someone becomes famous, they will not enjoy it anymore because at first it was wow, great, I love this, and then it turns into something like a drug overdose because you can’t stand being watched or talked about anymore. Advantages for fame are really great but nothing good last forever. Fame will make me happy because I’ll be doing what I love everyday and I can help other people. Fortune will let me be me, and I will be able to also do another thing that I love. On the other hand, the only reason why I want to be famous is because I want to give money to the poor and charities. According to Reel Rundown, some advantages to fame are “1. Celebrities get special treatment wherever they go 2. Being famous generally means being richer 3. Celebrities are recognized everywhere they go and 4. Many opportunities arise when people become famous.” Fame and fortune are both equally great. Yes, they both have their disadvantages and advantages but what can you get out of both? With fame, stars act like they have a perfect world but in reality, they can't stand being famous. They love being on stage, but when they get off they don't want to be watched, tweeted about, or even photographed because it’s an everyday thing. With Fortune, you can have real or great friends. You can have friends with fame but you never know if they are real friends with you because of you being famous or for you being yourself. After all of this arguing, I had learned that being famous wouldn't be so pleasing. If I had to choose between fame or fortune, I personally would choose fortune because "All great things in life come to an end." Over my break, I had did many things like shopping for Christmas, opening presents, celebrate Jesus’s birth and many other things. I had loved the my winter break because it's time for Christmas and it’s there was more family time. With a new baby brother added to the family it was complicated but I was able to manage.
During my break I had went shopping for my mother and father. We had wrapped presents, and during wrapping presents let's just say that we had an issue and ran out of wrapping paper. Anyways my family had went to a Christmas eve party, opened presents, had a feast, played many games, babysitting, went to go see Christmas lights and last but not least we had all spent memorable times with each other. While we were shopping we had went to pick up a nintendo NES but they were out of stock so we had to get a playstation. Wrapping presents was a blast even when you get wrapped up and you are trapped. At the Christmas eve party we had played games, ate, opened gifts, and took a batch of cookies home. The presents were wrapped in aluminum foil and they were really hard to open, but my sister Faith had gotten through them like nothing. The Christmas lights were beautiful, they were the prettiest lights I had ever seen and they were just amazing. Things were different this year though because we had a new addition to the family named Camden. Camden had opened presents, and even tried normal food. Although this Christmas break was great I had started to miss school and I couldn't wait to come back! This was by far the best Christmas break and Christmas ever, and I will definitely cherish this forever. Currently I am in 8th grade and my GPA (grade point average) for the first nine weeks was a 2.69. I love meeting new people, singing, coloring, hunting, fishing, and working in the garage with my family. Currently I have B’s and C’s and I’m trying to get A’s and B’s. I am trying to raise up my grades because I really would love to attend Ehove to learn the skills on how to be a nurse. I would love to be able to help someone get a healthier life everyday other than working at a store like Walmart. My interests in careers had led me the idea to a job that I would love to have. When I grow up, I would love to be a registered nurse.
At Ehove I will learn the basic training of how to be a registered nurse. Some of the terms I will be learning will be caring for patients, administer medication, monitor patient recovery and progress, and educate patients. “RNs work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, outpatient facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, dialysis centers, home healthcare agencies and physicians’ offices.” I have been trying to raise my grades up because I want to create a good habit for high school. In high school I want to be the best I can possibly be. I do so believe that I will be able to accomplish this goal before I go to high school because I really want to go to Ehove and get the job I want. For me to call myself a registered nurse I will have to be able to get along with people, be able to give shots if someone needs a shot along with many other things. According to Rasmussen College, nurses do way more than staying at a hospital and checking people’s hearts. “For starters, nurses are not limited to working in hospital settings. And they don’t just deliver shots. Nursing roles cover the medical, the administrative and the personal as they assess and work with patients of all backgrounds and ages.” Nurses really do, do more things than staying in a hospital and checking patients hearts and lungs. They do things like giving shots, helping people with sickness, prescribing medicine, checking all of your medical records, and more. I believe that being a registered nurse could get me really far in life. According to the Ohio means Jobs website “there are 4,830 yearly projected openings.” If I do end up getting this job, I would want to work at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. There is definitely an option to move up I could see myself working at this job until I have to retire. I absolutely wouldn't want to stop working because in my eyes, this is my future. I believe that this job would definitely make me happy and nursing is something that I could do everyday. Career day and this research had definitely helped me. From career day, I had learned what my future could look like. I seen how to spend and handle my money wisely. I had learned that the important things come first like food, housing, etc. The research had helped me because I was able to see what I would be doing with this job, how much money I would be making and what type of things I would be doing during nursing. The research was getting me prepared for my future.
