Currently I am in 8th grade and my GPA (grade point average) for the first nine weeks was a 2.69. I love meeting new people, singing, coloring, hunting, fishing, and working in the garage with my family. Currently I have B’s and C’s and I’m trying to get A’s and B’s. I am trying to raise up my grades because I really would love to attend Ehove to learn the skills on how to be a nurse. I would love to be able to help someone get a healthier life everyday other than working at a store like Walmart. My interests in careers had led me the idea to a job that I would love to have. When I grow up, I would love to be a registered nurse.
At Ehove I will learn the basic training of how to be a registered nurse. Some of the terms I will be learning will be caring for patients, administer medication, monitor patient recovery and progress, and educate patients. “RNs work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, outpatient facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, dialysis centers, home healthcare agencies and physicians’ offices.” I have been trying to raise my grades up because I want to create a good habit for high school. In high school I want to be the best I can possibly be. I do so believe that I will be able to accomplish this goal before I go to high school because I really want to go to Ehove and get the job I want. For me to call myself a registered nurse I will have to be able to get along with people, be able to give shots if someone needs a shot along with many other things. According to Rasmussen College, nurses do way more than staying at a hospital and checking people’s hearts. “For starters, nurses are not limited to working in hospital settings. And they don’t just deliver shots. Nursing roles cover the medical, the administrative and the personal as they assess and work with patients of all backgrounds and ages.” Nurses really do, do more things than staying in a hospital and checking patients hearts and lungs. They do things like giving shots, helping people with sickness, prescribing medicine, checking all of your medical records, and more. I believe that being a registered nurse could get me really far in life. According to the Ohio means Jobs website “there are 4,830 yearly projected openings.” If I do end up getting this job, I would want to work at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. There is definitely an option to move up I could see myself working at this job until I have to retire. I absolutely wouldn't want to stop working because in my eyes, this is my future. I believe that this job would definitely make me happy and nursing is something that I could do everyday. Career day and this research had definitely helped me. From career day, I had learned what my future could look like. I seen how to spend and handle my money wisely. I had learned that the important things come first like food, housing, etc. The research had helped me because I was able to see what I would be doing with this job, how much money I would be making and what type of things I would be doing during nursing. The research was getting me prepared for my future.
